- We can help, talk to our professionals we will listen to your ideas and
make some suggestions. Invariably the single easiest way to find out what
you want your site to look like is to browse your competitors web sites and look at
what you like and don't like about their sites.
-
- However, understanding what it is that you want your web site to
accomplish and how it will achieve that will
help you to save time, save us time putting your project together which will ultimately save you money, and help to ensure that
your web site design project flows as smoothly as possible from beginning to
end.
-
How much does a web site cost?
- There are quite a few factors that are going to affect the cost of your web site. For example, how many pages you are going to have, the amount of graphic work that is required, and the cost
of your domain name registration. A site such as ez123hosting.com
with about 120 pages, e-commerce enabled and including custom programming
would cost over $15,000 to develop. However, ez123hosting can
also create a design package that will fit most any budget, prices start at $99
for a single page e-flyer.
Let our professionals provide you with a
quote? It will only cost you a few moments of your time and you may be
amazed at your return on investment.
- How do I get a web site design cost quote?
- If you already have a web site but want a "makeover" of your existing site, you will need to provide us with your
web site address and some details of what your goals and objectives are.
-
If you do not yet have a web site we will may ask you to forward a copy of all of the materials you plan to use (written content, photos, any specific graphics you plan to use, etc.) to us so that we may review them.
-
- Generally we can provide you with a quote by simply completely filling out
the information in our project request
form and if we have any further questions we will email you.
How long does it take to have a web site designed?
- The length of time to design your site will depend on 3 factors: The size of your web site,
amount of graphics to be developed, and the complexity i.e. custom
programming requirement.
Our design schedule does vary with the amount of requests we receive.
However, we will always try to accommodate our clients needs while being
honest and upfront about our expected completion dates.
- How does the web site design process work?
- Developing an effective web site takes careful thought and planning. What you put into the planning stages will ultimately be reflected in the end product. Your future web site is your on-line advertisement and careful planning
during the creation of great content will aid in the success of your web site.
Let us know your preferences in your future web site' style and layout. If you
have visited any web sites that display your tastes well, make sure to let
us know and we can prepare a quote for you.
Create a list of categories for subject areas that you wish to cover in your web site.
Using the list of subject categories you created, gather all the information
including any specific photos, logos, brochures, etc. All content
information should be written the way you would like it to appear on your web site.
To receive a price quote you will simply need to fill out our proposal
request form completely. Please note that all price quotes are given based on
the client providing written content in electronic format. If you have graphics and/or logos that are already in electronic
format let us know as this will make our job a little bit easier.
Upon your acceptance of our quote we may send you a package with materials that you
would fill out, sign and send back to us along with a deposit for 20% of the quoted price.
We will then schedule a start date for your design, along with a draft
review date where you may provide any feedback on our progress.
We will start by assisting you in selecting a domain name if you don't
already have one. All domain name registration fees will already be included
in your proposal and we will handle all the paper work for you.
When the first draft of your web site is completed, we will upload your web site files to a temporary location. At this point you will review your web site
thoroughly and provide any feedback necessary.
-
- We will be looking for input from you at key stages in the design and
would like to keep you involved in the process.
At final review you may again examine your web site and send us a list of any final adjustments you wish to make.
- We will then submit your web site to the top ten search engines on your
behalf as part of our proposal.
-
At this point, we submit our final invoice and upon receipt of payment will upload your web site.
- Where do I get information & graphics to put on my web site?
- Making a successful site is synonymous with making it unique and original. It is for that reason, along with copyright infringement* issues, that you should develop your own written materials. In addition, you may also wish to supplement your materials by asking your company, organization, suppliers, and/or franchisers if they would allow you to incorporate some of their marketing and/or promotional information into your web site.
Many people think that anything on the web is "fair game" and may be copied. After spending time and money to develop materials, content, and graphics for a web site, would you like someone to come along and take them without asking and use them for their own benefit? Most likely you would not.
When you are gathering together your web site materials, it is more important to remember where you should not obtain your web site information and graphics from. You should never take or copy graphics, information or content from another person or company's web site without first receiving written permission from the owner of the materials.
So where do you get the information and graphics for your site? The answer is clear. Write the content yourself and/or only use information that you have written permission to use. This may not be the easiest way to put your web site information together, but it is the best. The end result will be an original web site that is uniquely you. As far as graphics are concerned, keep them unique by having Your Web Designer create original graphics and/or obtain the proper permissions to use company logos, and/or graphics.
Don't take the easy way out - be original - be unique - be successful!
For more information about how to prepare for your web site, please take a moment to visit the Web Site Preparation area of our web site after you read through our FAQ's.
Once my site is completed, where will it be stored?
- ez123hosting can host (keep it alive on the internet) for
you. If you choose to host with another hosting company we can upload the
site for you.
-
Do I need to use a "local" web site designer?
- We create web sites for clients who are local as well as out of country.
In general we do not at this time, however, create web sites languages other
than English unless the client provides us with the translations.
With the aid of email, it is possible to communicate effectively as well as efficiently across long distances.
90% of all of our communication with our clients is done via email.
What's more important - page loading time or sharp looks?
- They are both important and to a certain extent a trade off on one
another. Your web site is your on-line storefront. It should be attractive to visitors and project a professional, polished image for yourself and your
organization. Having too large a graphics, or slow loading graphics is
counter productive as, many people won't wait and will leave before it has
time load The answer is to have a a good balance of attractive graphics, good layout, and reasonable load time.
- How can I be sure my pages will look right on all browsers?
- We design our web pages conforming to industry standards of HTML. Pages designed are readily viewed using most browsers, including Netscape Navigator
as well as Microsoft's Internet Explorer. We test your web site on several
browsers and versions ensure they look first-rate.
- How do ez123hosting's Design Costs compare to the others?
- Many customers have indicated they are more comfortable with proposal
pricing rather then hourly rate figures. We are willing to work with either.
Our 8 page design and domain page is usually $499 without any database
integration or custom programming. If you wish us to provide you with an
hourly estimate our design rate is $45/hr however this will drop with
volume.
- You can help keep your costs down by providing as much content as possible
including copy and pictures in digital format.
- Who owns the completed Web site?
- In all cases, all web pages within a site are owned by our client. Any
scripts or web software applications that we develop are jointly owned by
the client and us.
-
What about copyright issues?
- Since you, the client own the web pages, you also own the content. This places the copyright for the content with
you the client. ez123hosting can only assume that you own the information you
provided. We retain the right to refuse to put on-line any information which would violate copyright laws.
-
Can I make corrections to my web site before it is published?
-
We encourage our clients to critique their site as it is being developed. ez123hosting
wants to keep you involved, its the best way to ensure all our customers get
what they want and we know what our customers expect.
-
Can I change my site while it is being designed?
- While we will make every effort to accommodate all changes, we must also
stay within the project proposal or specifications. The specifications will
outline what is to be delivered. While major changes to a design can be accommodated during the
draft phase, major changes at the final review stage will not as easily be accommodated.
ez123hosting reserves the right to modify pricing as well as time estimates to match any changes
to the proposal.
